Cecilia McDowall’s Ave maris stella is part of the programme

We’re rehearsing hard for our summer concert on Saturday 22 June, which features Vivaldi’s popular Gloria and other works in the serene setting of St Saviour’s Church, Sandpit Lane, St Albans.

There will be a welcome return of the moving Ave maris stella by our composer in association, Cecilia McDowall (pictured above), along with Haydn’s Little Organ Mass and the UK premiere of Soliloquies for Trumpet and Strings by Hertfordshire-based composer Peter Fribbins.
